Cultural Immersion

At Indier we always organize our programs in ways that maximize cultural experiences and give enlightened contact with local peoples in most areas in which we operate. In China, this involves experiences with minorities from many different backgrounds. After all, the best way to understand a people in an area is to interact with the locals!

We immerse participants in the local culture through community service, home visits, village explorations, learning traditional arts and crafts, local cuisine, experiencing local music, visiting local markets and much more. Savoring traditional foods, hearing ancient legends and learning about the history of a place first hand from the people whose parents’ parents lived this history are all part of the Indier experience!
