Chengdu

Located on the western plains of the Sichuan Basin, Chengdu has a long history and immense cultural heritage, making it renowned throughout China as one of its great cultural centres. The spectacular countryside and mountains around Chengdu provide us with endless opportunities for an expansive pallet of outdoor education activities, right on the edge of the Himalayan plateau!

The countryside to Chengdu’s west side quickly leads up to mountainous areas which provide a world class backdrop for our programs here. We normally use the town of Ya’an as our base as it provides by a wealth of amazing activities and experiences. Our programs here always pass through the city itself, which offers some solid cultural element such as the Sichuan Opera, traditional parks and ancient walking streets.
